"Are you saying that you didn't say any of this to Marcus?" The king inquired of her. 

He knew her well and the tricks that she could do. And he also knew Marcus and he recognised that the man was honest and had a good heart. He had no reason to lie while his queen had plenty of reasons to is to him and pretend that she had not said anything. 

"Why don't you just say what you mean directly," Reina urged of him. She could see the doubt in his eyes on her and it made her more angry. 

She was now more than ever determined to get Marcus out of her life forever. She wasn't going to stand around and be called a liar just because of a man who came out of nowhere with the intentions of replacing her. 

"Just say it to my face that you don't believe me. You trust a man you men less than a month ago over me," she stated.
