Rina and Steve drove down to the school where the kids are studying and after having little talks with them, they all went on their different way, leaving the two cops to themselves.
Rina and Steve both sat silently in the car, not sparing any glances at each other and looking out for any form of danger.
After some minutes, Rina leaned back and let out a sigh.
“How’s your hand?” Steve finally broke the silence.
Rina turned to look at him and responded, “It is better.”
Steve nodded and asked again, “Is the wound healing up yet?”
“Hmn…” Rina set her lips in a thin line, “I’m not a doctor to verify that, but with the way I still see it, I don’t think it has improved much than the way it was yesterday.”
“It will go,” Steve said as if to soothe her and it made Rina’s heart melt.
Though, she wasn’t sure if he wasn’t mad at her anymore but she decided to give him some time to himself.
