“If only I hadn’t let my temper get the better of me and not gone to that club.” Jamie slammed his fist onto the maple table.

“There is another way to look at it,” Bull said.

“How is that? I can’t see any good in this situation.” Jamie put his head into his arms.

“That’s because you’re not thinking straight. Because of you eleven gay men and boys are not in some brothel in Thailand. Some of them were underage, fourteen or fifteen years old. Don’t you realize that you are responsible for getting this guy off the streets and keeping the others safe?”

“You’re right, I didn’t think of that, but that doesn’t solve my immediate problem,” Jamie said.

“You don’t have an immediate problem. You can stay here just like you have been. There is plenty of room. Mischief feels at home enough to sleep on my head for half of the night at least. You know I want you here. I think we have something to explore.”
