“I live a good life, but it’s a simple one. I drive a good car, have a nice house, and nice clothes. I give a lot to charity. If Genevieve gets better, we could travel. I’d send you to school. We have so much to offer one another. My family loves you and your mom. Now eat and think about what I said.”

Gray cut off a piece of French toast and a bit of sausage then put it in his mouth. He ate the rest of the meal mechanically, lost in thought. Gray cleaned his plate and his gaze moved up to meet Enzo’s. “I care about you too. I want to be in your bed. Have wanted that since the night I first met you. I used to rush over to serve you your beer when Mike wasn’t watching.”

“What are we waiting for then? Why aren’t we together? Are we going to let Mike Green sabotage our future as well as he did our past?” Enzo pleaded.
