“I will make sure the kids change out of their uniforms before they come home. I don’t want them tracking in stuff from those portable toilets and that porno theater into your house. Anyway, I’ll be there to make sure you and Jason are eating right. The doctor and I had a long talk. He told me you had been a patient here too. I never would have known if we hadn’t come in for Jason. Don’t worry. I’ll make sure that you all eat healthy. No alcohol. Lots of bran. I will be there every second for you. There will be no chance for either of you to screw up, even when Jason goes back to work at that theater,” Howard explained.

Howard looked at Marjorie, Jason, and the kids. Yes, he had done his work here. He smiled, and they sat in silence for a moment.

“This is all your fault, Da,” James said, looking at Jason.

“Most definitely,” Janey agreed.

Marjorie looked at Jason, and then at the kids. “I may have helped,” she said. “I did it out of love though.”
