As he thought about it, things really weren’t that bad. Since their break-up he had used his palimony rather frugally. He did tend to indulge the kids, but Jason and he had shared those expenses. His yoga was taken care of through a lifetime membership that he had paid for years ago. When he had decorated the house, he had done it by himself, mainly using paint and good deals on furniture. A few of the pieces he had found at garage sales and sanded down and stained himself, or re-upholstered with help from some do-it-yourself TV shows. His main expense had been paying off the house and that was done now. Other than yearly taxes and utilities, he was home free. It would actually be hard for him to find a job where he didn’t earn enough to pay for those things
