“You gonna do it, Aunt Cam?” Ben had asked.
Cam had paused for a moment. “I’ll have to think about it,” was all she’d answered. That seemed to be her answer to most questions these days.
“Have you thought more about that book deal or the Speakers’ Bureau?” David had asked. “I’ve had calls from producers wanting your okay to do a made-for-TV movie. You could be picking up a good bit of change!”
Cam stopped eating, her fork still in her hand. “It’s not the money, David. I just don’t know what to do.”
Lori looked up at her. “You don’t have to do anything that you don’t want to, Cam,” she told her sister. “You’re in control of your own life again.”
Cam nodded. “It’s just that I’m having trouble making decisions. I’m not sure what to do.”
“You’ll know what to do when the time is right,” Lori assured her with a pat on her hand. “Everyone ready for dessert? I made a Boston Cream pie.”
