“I’m honestly surprised you’ve chosen a diner for our first date,” David admitted, gesturing at the diner with his right hand.

Tobias’s cheeks reddened, but David wasn’t sure if it was more out of embarrassment or anger. “I had actually planned to take you to a fine dining restaurant, but Pablo told me a diner would be better for our first date. If you want, we can always go to a restaurant instead.”

David shook his head. “Pablo is right. Besides, I’ll feel out of place at an expensive restaurant.”
