Sarah turned her attention back to the paperwork on her desk. “Why don’t we talk a little later? I’ll be finished with this work then and can fully devote my attention to you.”

“Sure, I can come back.”

Sarah stopped. “No, let’s meet somewhere else. You’re on janitorial detail now, right? I think the storeroom behind the store needs to be cleaned out. I’ll let them know you’re on your way and I’ll stop down in a half hour and see how you’re doing.” Her look was meant to challenge Cam.

“Sure, why not.” Cam smiled, sweetly. She stood and exited the office, leaving Sarah tapping her pen thoughtfully on her paperwork.

“Well, boys,” she whispered when she was in the hall. “At least she didn’t throw me out. Stay tuned for the next exciting episode!”
