“I’ve thought about this,” Armand asserted. “She is a danger to the mates. The council will understand that threats to the Alpha Mates are untenable. I’m going to declare her rogue. I don’t need the whole council to back me for that. I’m the first, and we have you and Rémy, two other council members who happen to be second and third, on board. As I said, call Edward. I’ll have Martin tell him that you have my approval.”
During the whole conversation, Colin sat quietly in the leather chair on the opposite side of Marc’s desk, barely moving a muscle, waiting for Marc to finish speaking.
Marc hung up the phone and came around the desk to Colin. “Don’t worry, baby, everything is going to be fine. You’ll need some extra security for a while but since you’re not in school, that shouldn’t cramp your style.” Marc smiled at Colin although he felt like taking his mate and running home to Minnesota, and surrounding him with Enforcers until they caught Lorraine and dealt with her.
