Yu Dong didn't say anything but when she saw the expression on Old Master Tong's face, she had a feeling that the mer knew something and from the words that the villagers said, Yu Dong had a feeling that the person behind this kidnapping really had something to do with Second Aunt Yu. 

She turned to look at Shen Li who sighed and shook his head. As a family he hoped that Second Aunt Yu wasn't the one behind this scheme. After all, Second Aunt Yu was the only bread earner of the second house of the Yu family. If something happened to her, what would happen to Old Master Tong and his family?

Though the old mer could now work and earn a little sum of money it was nowhere enough for the entire family to fend for themselves.
