His face scrunched up as he placed the bowl down on the table and drank a cup of water to wash the bitter tastes from his mouth. "It tastes so bad," he spat out and gagged after he was done swallowing the water, even though he kept drinking water the bitter taste didn't leave his mouth. 

" Be glad that it doesn't smell that bad," said Chen Mi as he rested the side of his face on the back of his hand. " I feel like I have swallowed a bowl of rotten eggs that were left to ferment for a month and yet can't throw them out."
