“Burn the witches! Burn the witches!”
The large crowd of female students closed in on us as we backed away. The guards tried to push them back, but it was no use. If this keeps up, Alex and I will be in danger.
“What do we do?” Alex whimpered.
“What can we do?” I voiced. “They don’t look like they're going to listen.”
“Hurry and burn them! We must calm Celestia’s anger!” Someone threw a rock our way which caused the others to start picking up pebbles and dirt to fling at us.
“Hey! Watch it!” Alex yelled as she dodged a stick.
“Settle down, girls! We can determine if they’re witches or not after we get you to safety!” stated one of the guards.
“Just burn them now! They’re only commoners! Who cares if they die!” The entire crowd roared in agreement.
“Well, I care!” Lady Viola shouted back. “Alexandra and Reiré are not witches! They are my friends!”
