Chapitre 31: Ten eyes skill
Roan dashed within a second after his freedom. He wanted to punch the Red salamander. But because it was ready to dash and held its body high, he could not muster enough strength so he used a full swing kick from its left.
The Red salamander high held head was brought down to ground with a thump sound.
Roan did not get enough time to use his strength at maximum but it was still possible for him to stun the Red salamander temporarily.
He glanced at where the wounds of Red salamander were bleeding. The bleeding sped up because of his kick.
He did not pause, and quickly smashed the Red salamander's head with his kick.
He kicked this time with his full might, intent on smashing the Red salamander's head.
However, the Red salamander was also an intelligent beast. It tilted its body and negated most of Roan's attack.
The kick landed near the Red salamander's front leg. A crack could be heard even if one was a dozen meters away from them.
"Shouldn't a injured beast be easy to kill? How can it just negate my attacks with its injured body" Roan frowned
He quickly lifted his leg again to hit the Red salamander again. The Red salamander also followed the movement of his leg.
When he was about to use his leg to kick again, the Red salamander with two of its injured legs, dashed to him.
The distance between Roan and the Red salamander was very close. In attempt to dodge his last attack the beast rolled sideways.
But the kick still shattered one of its leg, with the salamander still rolling. The distance between Roan and the Red salamander, thus increase to 4 ft.
Red salamander bit the part of Roan's leg below his knee and above the ankle.
Roan did not expect the Red salamander to possess such speed even when injured.
He tried to shake off the beast off his leg, but the other party was stuck on his leg with all its might.
He felt a bone piercing pain, with his leg's muscle being tore along with bones.
He felt strength in his leg vanish. It was like he could no longer control his right leg.
The Red salamander did not move and was still intent on not letting the leg go.
It was only after three seconds that Roan ignored the pain in his legs to strike an powerful punch.
The battle just started, so he had not lost most of his energy. He put his hands in height with his shoulder.
He covered his already reinforced fist with more energy and struck it at the Red salamander's head.
This time the Red salamander could not dodge or negate the skill. It was still biting into his leg and could not quickly escape.
The Red salamander biting his leg not only restricted his movement but also
its own. The Red salamander too was immobile because its teeth was stuck in Roan's leg.
This time no mistake occurred as the fist precisely struck the Red salamander's head.
Roan's hand pierced the hard skin of Red salamander and tore through its skull.
No matter how strong and tenacious a beast grew, it could not recover from a severe injury on its head.
The second Roan's fist pierced the Red salamander's head, it stopped exerting pressure on his wound.
He almost hurt his own leg because of his fist's area effect. However, it was still more bearable than the beast's bite.
He used both his hand to remove his leg from the Red Salamander's mouth. Teeth of the beast was stuck in his leg, making his leg punctured on various spots.
Even removing the teeth out from his leg caused him unbearable pain. He took 5 seconds even under pressure of an Ten eyes eagle to escape his predicament.
He was in constant fear that beast might attack but the Ten eyes eagle did not care about him and the Red salamander's struggle.
Three notifications sounded in his mind giving his terrible mood a soothing sensation.

But after hearing what the notifications were, he didn't know whether to cry or laugh.
"What the heckk!!?, Where is the healing sensation from earlier!!?" Roan almost shouted out loud
"And why the hell it shows requirements of upgrading bloodline after killing a beast?? Couldn't it just directly inform me when I reached level 10??"
He was stunned, shocked and then scared.
No matter what, he needed a healing process now, his leg was out of his control now. It felt like it was an object external to his body, not a part of it.
"Do is still have to fight the Ten eyes eagle now??" He had an intuition to just escape from here.
But unluckily his right leg was in no condition to move, let alone run away from a flying intermediate tier beast that has a restriction ability.
He looked at his teammates and found them still restricted.
"None of them are even able to move? Do I really have to fight for them??"
Just when he was thinking this, Jasper's body emitted fire and he started moving.
Seeing Jasper moving the bird made a high pitch noise. It seem angered of Jasper's action.
'Do I make a move now? But how am I even supposed to attack the Ten eyes eagle??'
'Even the distance between me and it is seven meters. I can throw the small knives to attack it, but the result would not be worth it.'
"Ten eyes eagle is circling above us and not stopping or slowing. Only Jennie has ability to throw a knife that far with accurate aim" Roan sighed
He used knife before, but after his increase in strength he quit.
The strength exerted by his knife was only able to stab or cut a slow beast. With increase in his energy control, he stooped using knife and only attacked with his fists.
Using Reinforce not only increased his proficiency with energy control, but also helped him increase his attack by a lot.
Now when he needed a knife wielder, he glanced at Jennie. She was the weakest of the team.
"Her close combat is not enough to fight intermediate tier beasts and her low strength also minimizes her efficiency in fight" Roan said
"She is still stuck in the restrictions and can't even move. I can't expect her to throw knife when she has difficulty breathing" He shook his head in disappointment
Jasper broke out of the Ten eyes eagle restrictions and rushed to his sister. He used his fire to damage the layer of restrictions around her.
Roan was not standing still either, he was also pushing his energy to stimulate his recovery.
"Try to use the first level skill tough skin, you'll be able to resist the ability of the bird and don't look into its eyes." Jasper quickly explained to Jennie
The Ten eyes eagle screamed again and dashed towards Jasper in anger. The Ten eyes eagle was angry because its ability was resisted by Jasper.
It quickly came flying towards Jasper with intent to slice him into half.
Jasper was still helping Jennie to break free of restrictions while Jennie used Tough skin skill.
With Jennie resisting from inside and Jasper assaulting from outside the ability soon broke off.
"Does that mean the Ten eyes eagle did not undo its skill on me but I actually broke it on my own?" Roan soon realised that it was his ability which helped him negate the ability.
"That means Ten eyes eagle expected Red salamander to kill me while it held others. Then why didnt it help the Red salamander and let it die?" Roan grew more and more confused.
"Leave it be " He did not bother thinking it over again and again.
"Whatever the reason might be, I just have to kill the Ten eyes then heal my leg." He said
Ten eyes eagle was a foot away from Jasper when suddenly the restrictions on Jennies broke.
She quickly covered the knife in her hand with fire and threw it on one of the Ten eyes eagle eye.
The knife struck the agitated Ten eyes eagle and pierced one of its wings. After piercing the wing, the fire was not put out and kept burning.
Roan clutched his knife quickly and threw it towards the Ten eyes eagle's body. The wings of Ten eyes eagle were a meter wide each.
With one of its wings pierced, it let out a high pitch scream of pain. The damage to its wings was only 3 inch initially, the width of knife.
But after the wing caught fire, the hole grew wider making the Ten eyes eagle incapable of flight.
Roan already threw his knife the second Jennie's knife pierced the beast. His knife pierced through the other wing of Ten eyes eagle and then scratched its back.
After the Ten eyes eagle was injured, the restrictions placed on everyone of the team was put out.
Lucas ran to the Ten eyes eagle which was only a meter away from ground. He was not able to resist the restriction of Ten eyes eagle, but he was prepared to attack.
His attack took ten seconds to be successfully charged before striking. After he was restricted, he quickly used his beast armament and charged the skill.
Now that the Ten eyes eagle was injured and could not maintain its ability, everyone of them was able to resist the restrictions.
Lucas became free of the restrictions and directly aimed at Ten eyes eagle.
He pushed his legs against ground and jumped two meter high. While dropping back to the ground, he held his right fist high and put all his strength in punching the Ten eyes eagle.
The punch struck the Ten eyes eagle's main body and not wings. The punch by Lucas was aimed on its head.
But Ten eyes eagle had ten eyes for a reason. It could avoid Jennie's knife attack when it was in its full speed and avoided being critically injured.
It saw Lucas punching but the best it could do was save its neck and head.
The back of Ten eyes eagle was still struck and its body got tossed on the ground.
The impact made by the punch was so violent that the backbone of Ten eyes eagle was shattered.
It landed on the ground after being bounced back by rebound of the punch.
Ten eyes eagle was not able to fly again. Lucas was preparing to finish it off with another punch but could not.
Ten eyes eagle used a weird purple light, all of its ten eyes emitted the purple color.
The purple aura emitted from its eyes was so oppressive that all of them were unable to stand.
They slowly but surely kneeled to the ground not being able to resist the purple aura oppression.
"I can't hold any longer, my knee cap will shatter" Lucas shouted out loud in desperation.
"Luckily this time we are able to speak up, earlier we couldn't even communicate." Roan said gloomily
No one listened to his self talking. Lucas was already close to breaking his bones, when he turned his skin into stone.
Jasper was also resisting the oppressive light by using tough skin on its body.
Jennies was also able to support herself better than Lucas.
Morris was still standing far away from battle, near the tree.
Roan dragged himself with only one of his leg intact. He had held knife in his hand this time. He did not dare to over exert his strength.
"If I put all my energy into my fist then I will be able to kill Ten eyes eagle but my hand would be crippled." Roan hesitated
Still he dragged himself closer to the beaten bird. He used reinforce on his body with Wind path.
He moved closer to the Ten eyes eagle step by step

When he finally came within one meter distance of Ten eyes eagle then he dashed to it with his small knife pointed at its head.

He stabbed it thrice before hearing the sound of kill notifications from his Bloodline system.
