After the class was over, Jason was invited by Xiao Yu and decided to make a trip to the Ghastly Ruins. He also invited Long Yuyin and surprisingly she agreed. On the other hand, Gu Bei rejected his offer much to his surprise.
The Ghastly Ruins were founded by one of the Divine Feather Sect's ancestors, the ruins were filled with large numbers of ghouls, which would drop soul scales when killed.
Each student could only enter the Grounds of Ghastly Ruins once a month and could only remain there for two days maximum.
It was allowed to steal other students in that realm.
Basically, this testing ground trained the students for the outside world. If they found a treasure, people would try to steal it if they weren't stronger or smarter than their opponents!
The entrance of the Ghastly Ruins was a weird vortex guarded by two experts.
Jason had sealed his cultivation up to the peak of the Heavenly Fate Realm before arriving at the Draconic Ruins Realm. Let alone this small Ghastly Ruins, not even a Martial Ancestor realm expert could see through his real strength.
Jason and the group entered the vortex, disappearing through the entrance of the Ghastly Ruins.

Shortly after their party entered, another group of people appeared at the entrance.
Hu Yong, Long Yuyin's finance, was enraged when he saw Long Yuyin with Jason's group. He had heard what happened in the class that day.
Hu Yong eyed his group and solemnly said, "Do you guys remember everything I told you? Do you remember what they look like?"
"Don't worry, Young Master Hu. Even if they're reduced to ashes, we'll still remember them. We've already reached the Heavenly Fate Realm! Taking care of one kid is no difficulty!"

The group also entered the Ghastly Ruins.

"Should we go and resolve it?" Huang Yu asked.
Ming Fei shook his head. "No need. Those idiots are only asking for trouble by messing with that guy. Regarding battle experience alone, Nie Li can match any elders in the sect. And with his current strength, even a 2-star Heavenly Star fellow will regret messing with him. You should better worry about those other fellows."
"Just how do you come across such a talent?"
"I don't find him. It's him who finds him actually." Ming Fei replied bitterly.
Nanmen Tianhai and Huang Yu looked at each other. "Maybe we should tell about Nie Li to the Big Five."
When Jason and others entered the Ghastly Ruins, they were all teleported to different locations.
Jason materialized in a stretch of ruins that ran a thousand miles out. Everywhere, there were crumbled and ruined walls, forming an apocalyptic scenery. The sky was ashen-grey and an ill wind blew by. Occasionally, a herd of ghosts drifted through the air, wailing as they flickered in and out of perceptibility.
When he looked around he found that there was one more person who was teleported to the same position as him.
It was Long Yuyin!
They both were surprised to see each other there.
"So, we're teleported together," Jason said with a smile.
"En," She nodded her head as she blushed. She didn't why except during the spar, every time she was with him, her heart fluttered.
She had never expected to feel something like that in her life.
"Well, let's search for others. Or do you have something else in mind?" In the second sentence, Jason spoke teasingly.
How could her expression go unnoticed by him?
Sure enough, her face turned beet red as she quickly shook her head in panic and embarrassment. "N... no, let's look for others."
As they moved forward, Long Yuyin realized that not a single ghoul had attacked them till now. When she looked around, she found that all the ghouls were staring at them. But rather than approaching them, they were hiding themselves, seemingly scared of their presence.
'The ghouls are actually... scared?! But... How can this be...'
She was left stunned, her eyes wide as saucers. Even though she had only come here a few times she had understood the behavior of these ghouls to a certain degree.
"These guys are rather funny, scared of me," Jason looked at them and smirked, causing them to shiver in their spots.
Long Yuyin was left stunned by this, looking at Jason with a dumbfounded expression.
Jason grabbed her hand as the duo traveled in the Ghastly Ruins, searching for others.
Thinking of something, Jason asked. "Do you know a girl named Ying Yueru?"
Long Yuyin's expression crumbled when she heard that name. "How... do you know her?"
"What is your relationship with her? You seem to hate her!" Jason raised his eyebrow at her, catching her that split-change expression.
Long Yuyin furrowed her brows, finding it difficult to answer his question. But looking at his expression, she sighed and explained her complex relationship with Ying Yueru.
"So you're saying she is your senior sister? And she is the reason behind your master's death?" Jason heard her story and sighed, asking her. "Do you master practice the Heaven's Divination?"
"How do you know?" Long Yuyin seemed surprised by him getting it right.
Jason sighed and patted her head. "Actually, the truth is, Ying Yueru is not the reason behind your master's death."
"But..."
Long Yuyin wanted to say something but Jason cut her. "Listen to me first. Actually, the truth is anyone who walks the path of Heaven's Divination will be killed before they reach the summit and learn about the truth of the world."
Long Yuyin furrowed her brows, feeling puzzled.
"I know you don't believe me but there is someone who will not tolerate the existence of people practicing the Heaven's Divination as it is like challenging his absolute authority. Even your senior sister is a target for that entity since she also walks the path of Heaven's Divination"
"Then... does that mean... she... is also going to die?" Long Yuyin seemed worried for her, somewhat believing in his words. She knew Jason was not the type of guy who would lie to her like that.
"Let's hope not." Jason shook his head. "I'm looking after her and will try to protect her."
"Why? Why are you protecting her? You'll die!" Long Yuyin said anxiously.
Jason touched her nose and smiled. "Because I have a thing for idiots. I want to protect her just like I want to protect an idiot like you."
"Hey! I'm not an idiot." Long Yuyin refuted, her face beet red.
