Chapitre 68: Between the devil and the deep blue sea
Thorin had just informed Zi Mei that her door was unlocked and open when he got there. He refused to tell her how he knew that there were intruders inside her house and why he didn't call the police but had taken upon himself to get his men to 'sweep the place clean' for her.
She had blurted out about seeing Darren putting his finger through the louvres of her door and Thorin asked her if his finger had elongated to snake deep inside her house. This shocked Zi Mei as it was so unbelievable for her, even after she saw it with her own two eyes, she herself could hardly believe it. Yet, Thorin Loong had said it as if it is a normal occurrence.
"How did you know?" she had demanded.
"This is not good," Thorin Loong muttered under his breath. He gave her a piercing look before turning and walking away. He did not reply her at all.
