Elizabeth's POV

Katia looked confused as I gave her an offer to come with me, to an expedition to find the missing gold of the tortured person who has the same abnormality of magic as me. "What do you mean by 'lost treasure'? You have treasures that are lost?" 

"Yes we do. I have found an artifact hidden in my father's office. A scroll telling of treasure that was lost. If I find that gold it would help me to have an easier time to get away from the emperor without needing any financial aid if the time should come." I couldn't help sounding happy as I explained, it is a gamble and I'm not even sure if the gold is still there or someone has found it- but I should at least try.
