Johnny wouldn't tell her where he was taking her. He remained tight-lipped no matter how much she asked. Navaya peered at him suspiciously from the corner of her eyes, taking a bite from the honey buns he bought her and he laughed.

He was in the driver seat, one hand controlling the steering wheel and the other was casually resting on her lap, tracing invisible lines on her skin. Navaya didn't comment on the touch. They were silent for most of the ride, with her occasionally sneaking looks at him. He was hard to not stare at. A small smile played on his lips while he stared straight ahead, focusing solely on the road in front of them.

Anticipation bubbled up in her veins to the point it sipped through her pores. The need to know where he was taking her consumed her entirely, keeping her locked in its tight grip. They had gotten lunch at a restaurant but instead of taking her back to work, he just kept driving.
