Once the plane landed, they were both ushered out of the airport and led towards the sleek black Maybach waiting for them. Another car was parked right behind it, also belonging to Leo.

Just like when they readied to board the jet, Leo allowed his men to handle their luggage while he pulled open the car's backseat door and gestured to Becca to get in. She stepped in, still shaken by the grim truths she had been told. Leo got in right after she did and she turned her head to look at him. 

He closed in on the space between them and pressed his lips on hers. The kiss felt reassuring, somewhat relieving. His fingers slipped into her hair, a lover's touch. When their lips parted, Becca gave him a soft smile.
