Leon's hands were trembling when he was returning the sword to David. He noticed his trembling hands and couldn't help but ask.
"Leon your hand…?" He said.
"Oh, this. It's nothing to worry about. It's just an after-effect whenever I use the "energy imbuetion." Leon replied.
"Energy imbuetion?" David asked in confusion as it was the same skill that his father often used in fights when he was alive. But it's somewhat different as whenever his father used the skill it emitted gusts of winds but when Leon used it, it emitted flames.
"Yes, when he defeated you with this skill I made up my mind to learn it, and after years of failure and practice, I managed to learn it recently. I just have to pour my fire energy(mana) inside a sword." Leon explained.
"Oh, congratulation." David smiled bitterly. He was genuinely happy for Leon, but he also wanted to learn this skill. But being a non-attribute(non-magic) user, he couldn't learn it even if he spent his whole life.
"Thanks, but I'm still couldn't fully grasp this skill and still facing some negative after-effects. I can only use it once a day after that my energy(Mana) started to deplete rapidly. I don't know how the master was able to do it so easily and so many times. He was truly a hero." Leon said while catching his breath.
David's father was believed to be one of the strongest swordsmen in the kingdom. Even without proper guidance or any special skill related to swordsmanship. He was almost on the same level as the king's strongest Knight. Because of his skills, he became quite famous in the kingdom and many people wished to be his students but he only chose Leon as his first and last student.
"But forget about that, I can still fight with the monsters without using any powerful skill," Leon said and returned the sword to David.
"I'm coming too with you two?" Galena said.
"Sigh, although I don't want to help that bastard, I also can't leave you guys alone especially when Leon suffered an after effect of the skill. We are already lost so I can't go back even if I want to, it's better to stick together in this forest." Sam finally agreed to find Trahso.
*Pant! pant! pant!
[Thank God l sneaked away from there when they started to fight, they all must be dead by now, this expedition was a bad idea, to begin with, they all deserve to die for their foolishness.] Trahso started to blame them.
"I'll tell everyone that when we found those pighead monsters. we fought a bloody battle with them and managed to kill all of them but in that fight. But Leon, David, and others died too, and only I somehow managed to survive. Yes, it's a good story and with this story, I can secure my position as the next village chief. Since Leon and Dived both are dead there is no other candidate to get in my way." He started to make things up to tell everyone.
"Now I just need to find a way back to the village soon. Looks like this expedition has turned out quite fortunate for me. Hehehe!" He got amused thinking of the future.
"Back in the village, everyone was thinking that the position of the village chief will be given to Leon or David, I will let them pay for going against me." He was babbling and cursing others while walking.
When he was thinking about these things he heard some sounds from trees and bushes. His heart started to beat very fast and he felt like his heart will come out from his chest.
"Did those damn wolves chase me to this place or is it some other monster?" Trahso mumbled.
His mind stopped thinking straight because of fear. After some time he started to hear a lot of loud footsteps too which was made things clear that these sounds did not belong to the Night saber Wolves nor the wind was the reason.
The footstep started to closer and he tried to sneak away from there quietly but he tripped on a small stain and fell on the ground.
The monsters that came out from the trees were the reason for this expedition, they were orcs, but a few of them were looking very different from the normal ones, they looked bigger and more powerful than others.
He wanted to run for his life but his legs gave out, he started sweating all over his body, and he could hear how fast his heart was beating with every passing second. The fear took over his mind and negative thoughts started to pop in his mind.
One of them came closer to him but unconscious started to take over his body. His eyes rolled upward and foam started to come from his mouth, and his vision finally becomes dark and the last sentence that came to his mind was
"Ple…Please don't kill…me…."
"Who is this human? Go check if he is alive or not?" Shera said to an orc near her.
"Ok," the orc said and rushed to check Trahso. He thoroughly examined him to see injuries in his body and if he was dead or alive.
"Leader, he is still breathing and did not have any injuries on his body. He just passed out because of fear." The orc said.
"Slurp what should we do with him? can we eat him?" one of the orcs said while drooling.
"Yeah, I think it's a good idea!" another said and wiped the drool.
"I will take his head since I like to eat the brain."
"Then I will take his limbs as I like meat the most."
"I will take his heart, liver, and other internal parts." All the wanted to eat him and was deciding who will take which body parts.
Shera hit the ground with her club, hearing the sound all of them back off in fear and started trembling.
"he may belong to master's village and I don't think I have to remind you all what will happen if even think to go against his will," Shera said while showing his dominance.
"Then should we leave him here?" one of the high female orcs said as Shera also brought them for the hunt so they could become more proficient in the hunt Which would help their tribe to rise.
"Carry him to our cave, we will ask elder what to do with him?" Shera said and they carried him to their cave.
