And as I passed Mr. Davidson's room I overheard his conversation with Mr. Abas if the reason Mr. Carllyss put a few of his men in the pine woods over the years, it was because he suspected that Mr. Davidson had something to do with the disappearance of his daughter about 16 years ago.
Hugo only wanted to open his eyes to the information he had always wanted about the ends of Mr. Carllyss always putting his people through his most desperate surveillance of the pine forests. Mike got it easy from a guy they didn't expect, and mike figured it out by accident.
