Chapitre 175: Chapter 175

Author's note: A lot of people commented about how the government can send so many vice admirals after Johnny, which may seem ridiculous, but rest assured the hows, whys, and consequences of the event will be explained in the upcoming chapters, the feedback is always appreciated though.

And to the people saying they'll stop reading the story if I throw Johnny into Imped down; be my guest.

This is my story and I'll write it whatever way I think is best.

if you enjoy reading, that's good. If you have some criticism, that's also good, I'll gladly hear you out.

If you don't want to keep reading the story because you assume it's going in a certain direction that you don't like, that's too bad, but no one is stopping you, and telling me or anyone else about it wouldn't change anything. I don't care, and I don't think anyone does.

And with that out of the way, I think I've put off the character interview segment long enough, so feel free to leave any questions you might have for Johnny and the crew in the comments (the more ridiculous and troll-ish the better).

I'll put together a chapter as soon I gather enough interesting questions.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"I no longer have the stamina to use Haki, my devil fruit, or the six powers..." I muttered under my breath as I dived towards John Giant face first, tightly clutching Trition's handle.

"Laffite should be able to make it to the Black Pearl safely... and that's enough for me..." I smiled, all be it bitterly, my gaze set on the gigantic vice admiral.

"All that's left is to go out in a blaze of glory..." I concluded, firming my resolve to fight to my last breath and buy as much time as possible for my crewmates to get the fuck out of here.

Strong as they might be, it's simply impossible for us to fight six vice admirals, especially with me in my current state. We might be able to pull off a miracle and beat the marine bastards somehow, but I can't imagine us pulling such a feat without a sacrifice or two.

It was my fault we got into this mess in the first place, so if there has to be a sacrifice for everyone to escape, then let it be mine.

As I neared John Giant, all thoughts began fading away from my head, battle lust taking over as my vision began turning red.

I felt strength welling up from inside me as I clutched Trition, preparing to swing as all else disappeared from my vision, only my giant foe remaining as he waved his equally gigantic Katana in my direction from below.

My body moved in pure instinct as I adjusted my posture mid-air, swinging Trition to meet the vice admiral's gigantic Katana as veins began bulging in my arms.

Our swords met, creating a loud thundering shock wave that contrasted the image created by my minuscule figure, pushing against John Giant.

I probably looked like a fly, too arrogant and greedy for blood to realize it was overreaching above its station to the various civilians, cautiously spectating the fight from a safe distance.

But I was no mere fly. I was a mouse, a cornered one at that, left with no choice but to fight back, and fight back I did as veins began bulging all over my body as I tapped to last of what little strength I had remaining.

I smirked, my smile only growing more pronounced as John Giant winced, my display of strength taking him by surprise as he staggered and took several steps back, crashing into a building and falling to the ground.

But as the giant lost his balance lost, I too lost the only thing stopping me from plunging into the ground; his giant Katana, and I so I fell.

I winced, coughing as I waved my hand in front of me to clear the dirt flying all around me while trying to stand on my feet. My legs wobbled, and I had to stab Trotion and lean on it for support as I looked around, smiling bitterly as the rest of the vice admirals finally caught up and surrounded me once again.

"Haven't you done enough, young man?" vice admiral Yamakaji asked as he looked at me with a calm expression, slowly approaching me with his laid-back smile nowhere to be seen as I panted for breath.

"Not... yet..." I replied, swinging my sword and only missing the vice admiral's neck by an inch as he stopped walking.

"I'll either end up in Impel Down or in the care of some sick celestial dragon if you catch me alive," I remarked as I stabbed Trition back into the ground, leaning on it. "And neither options sound appealing to me... so the only thing you will be getting is a cold corpse," I concluded with what I could only imagine being a maniacal grin splitting my face.

"This guy is dangerous," vice admiral John Giant said as he got on his feet, pulling himself off the ground by clutching into a tall building that promptly collapsed.

"I agree. Let's put this pirate down and be done with his nonsense," Onigumo said, glaring at me with menacing eyes.

"You all know our orders as well as I do, so stop speaking rubbish, and help me subdue the man," Momonga said in a resolute tone, waving his hand to the side as he began approaching me.

"Go ahead and try," I said, preparing myself to swing my blade as soon as any of them came within striking distance.

Vice admiral Doberman was the first to move, and he charged me, his sword in hand. I had no energy to dodge, so I passively stood there as he swung at my shoulder, drawing blood.

I caught the blade of his Katana with my left prosthetic hand as Doberman tried to take it out of my shoulder, unphased by the pain as I smirked, making the vice-admiral flinch.

Panic got the better of him, and he tried to pull away from his sword, giving me enough time Trition at his chest, ripping off his marine garments, and creating a long horizontal gash as he finally let go of his weapon and jumped back.

"Who's next?" I asked with a calm grin as I took the sword's blade out of my shoulder and threw it to the side.

The vice admiral heard my words, their gazes alternating between each other and my own seemingly vulnerable figure as I stood there motionless, bleeding, panting, but tall, and still smirking nonetheless.

"Come on! I don't have all day!" I taunted, feeling immensely satisfied at the vice admirals hesitating, mortified expression as they slowly turned to hideous, enraged frowns, except for Yamakaju, who merely shook his head with a bitter sigh.

They looked at each other one last time, seemingly firming their resolve as they nodded and began approaching me as one from all sides, ready to subdue me.

"How pathetic..." said a cheery voice from the side, accompanied by the sound of heavy, thudding footsteps and loud chewing.

"Marines keep sinking to new lows every day these days..."
