Chapitre 5: A Mechanic's Battle Style!

Looking at this cold man in front of her, Monica felt a little nervous.

She had seen Johnson shoot three people in cold blood.

Moreover, the process was clean and efficient, without hesitation.

But she still picked up the bottle of mineral water on the floor and slowly stood up.

At least the other party had given her water and had no intention of harming her so far.

The deterrence of force, the benefits of mineral water, and the timely aid he provided made Monica choose to listen obediently.

"Sir, my name is Monica. May I know how to address you?"

Monica carefully asked.

"Johnson."

Johnson replied calmly and continued on his way. He didn't seem to care about the lives of the three people he had taken.

Monica remembered this name and followed close behind him.

Along their journey, Johnson kept purifying the mineral water he had.

After a bottle was purified, he put it back into the system Storage and replaced it with another bottle of black mineral water to continue purification.

Since he could only purify one bottle at a time, doing this along the way could save a lot of time.

Behind him, Monica had many questions in her heart.

She wondered where Johnson was getting his water resources.

She wondered what the strange machine in Johnson's hand was.

Also, Johnson's gun didn't seem like an ordinary gun.

However, she knew very well that everyone had their own secrets. These things had nothing to do with her and were not something she should ask.

Hence, she asked a question related to herself.

"Where are we going next, Mr. Johnson?"

Johnson answered without turning his head.

"To the abandoned factory above us."

His tone was as calm as ever.

However, when Monica heard this, her face turned pale.

"To the abandoned factory above us…?"

Was this man crazy?!

Didn't he know that it was dangerous up there?!!

"Mr. Johnson, there are… zombies up there."

Monica felt that Johnson might have made this decision because he did not know about the situation above.

But Johnson's answer was something she hadn't expected at all.

"I know."

That was all Johnson said. Nothing else.

Hearing Johnson's words, Monica could not help but worry.

Although this man had a gun and seemed to have installed a silencer on it…

The number of zombies up there was not small either.

There was a limit to the number of bullets a gun could fire. What would happen after it was used up?

Monica's head was filled with worries.

The two of them now arrived at a staircase after turning round the corner. There was a metal door here with a lock.

Seeing this scene, Monica heaved a sigh of relief.

Great. The door was locked, now there was no way to go up.

But Johnson simply raised his gun and shot the lock off.

Monica's face turned pale again.

Did this man have to go up and die?

And he actually used his precious bullets in such a place. Wasn't he worried about ammunition at all?

Monica was troubled, but Johnson only looked back at her.

"Stay close, or I can't guarantee your safety."

With that said, he pushed open the metal door and walked up. His figure quickly disappeared around the corner of the stairs without any hesitation.

Seeing this, Monica hesitated, in thought, but she still followed him in the end.

The reason was simple. Johnson had water!

If she did not follow him, then she would die of thirst sooner or later because there was no water to drink.

With an anxious feeling, Monica turned round the corner.

But the next second, she froze on the spot.

She was surprised to see that Johnson was now carrying the strange machine in one hand and the pistol in the other. He was firing continuously as he walked forward.

In the factory ground right in front of Johnson, zombies were walking in droves towards them.

There were at least a dozen of them!

Although zombies were moving very slowly now, they could not be underestimated!

As long as they reached a certain distance, they would use all their strength to pounce and bite all living things to death.

Looking at the scene in front of her, Monica instinctively took a step back, attempting to stick herself to the wall like paint.

Johnson, on the other hand, remained calm as he continued shooting while moving forward.

The interval between each shot was very short, as if there was no need to aim.

All of this was due to his [Firearm Proficiency]!

With this skill, his shooting accuracy had long surpassed even the elite snipers of the SEAL Team!

Wouldn't it be easy to deal with a few slow-moving zombies?

Light shot out from the electromagnetic gun one after another. Every second, a zombie would fall to the ground permanently.

And Johnson never stopped walking throughout this process.

He seemed to be moving toward those zombies to offer himself as tribute.

However, in his eyes, the zombies present posed no threat to him.

His entire body was radiating calmness, composure, and confidence.

In just ten seconds, the battle was over.

Johnson calmly put away his pistol and continued walking. He didn't look back as he spoke out once more.

"Keep up."

Looking at Johnson's back, Monica was completely stunned.

This man was completely different from the people she had met till now!
