Chapitre 35: Chapter 35 - Lies

That night, Ryley couldn't decide what to do after he listened to such a horrible story the Alpha told him.

He didn't want to believe it at first, but the pain escaping the man's blue eyes made his heart waver.

"Clyde, I…."

Ryley lifted his head from Clyde's arm, breathing heavily. The gentle touch that reached his cheek couldn't ease his heart still.

"I know you won't believe it. Don't worry, I won't force you to," Clyde said, smiling bitterly.

Of course Ryley wouldn't believe it, nobody probably did.

What kind of father would kick his son out of the house when the boy was just 10 years old, leaving him wandering the streets starving and shivering in a cold winter night?

What kind of father would banish his own son to the end of the world, saying he had to gain experience before entering the company, completely ignoring the fact that he nearly died from frostbite?

If it weren't for Claire and Lucas, he would have been buried beside his mother's grave now.
