Chapitre 43: Immobile

The last couple of days were much easier for Zia. After all she had been through, it was a nice change for her and she embraced it gratefully. The guardian made sure she and Gemini were taken care of to the best of his ability. Gemini took a liking to the creature instantly. The puppy was good at sensing whether someone had ill intentions or not. The creature was different, just like him.

He was also very good at keeping out of sight. He was only seen by someone if he wanted them to see him, so Ariel never bumped into him. She simply continued to check on Zia and Gemini once a day. Zia made sure to be there when she knew Ariel would normally visit them. It was a lot to keep up with, but it was necessary until she could figure out a new plan.

Master Arlon appeared to have given up on searching for her for the time being. He focused his energy on repairing the boundaries of the town. A recent accident caused the eastward wall to weaken. Parts of the wall kept breaking off daily.
