Rayan sensed that Jasmine meant something else, but he could not understand why someone like Sophie would wish to hurt his mother. A nurse came to Rayan, so Rayan had to end the call.

“Yes, is mom awake now?” Rayan asked the nurse.

“Sir, someone here wants to talk to you. She refused to tell her name, but she said it is important.” The nurse said so and took Rayan to the waiting room where the lady was waiting for Rayan.

“Sophie.” Rayan wondered, “Why did you refuse to tell them your name?”

“I was afraid that Mrs. Jasmine had told you something, and you would refuse to talk to me.” Sophie’s face was red and blotchy.

“Listen, Sophie. I understand that mistakes happen. But when it comes to serious conditions, you should have been more careful. It is not the time or the place to discuss this issue, and” Rayan said.
