"Love you, Mommy," Reece told her as she gave her a hug.

Dani kissed her baby on the forehead and before she got to the door, she was out. She stood and watched her baby sleep. She had been surprised when she had heard Reece talking to Nate. Her daughter rarely said much to anyone. She was outgoing and would interact, but until recently no one believed her that she spoke in full sentences. It was probably her fault. There were a lot of things she hadn't done right.

"She's a good kid."

"Jesus," she cursed under her breath. "You have a bad habit of doing that."
