Chapitre 3: This is a Surprise!
Four years later.
It was midnight and I was sitting down on my roof circulating my energy throughout my body. Since I started my strength, speed, reflex has been enhanced and my body is stronger but still not immune to wounds. Although my wounds heal at a faster rate it was not to the point of indestructible. The cultivation had 15 levels and different techniques for every five levels. I also took note that this world is very similar to my past life, they still had Harry Potter, Star Wars, even Keeping up with the Kardashians' believe it or not. But there were also differences here and there like no Apple or Samsung. Some company's names were weirdly named. There was one thing that caught my attention though, it was a city called Metropolis and there was a hero named Superman. I was surprised that the place the deity sent me was the DC universe, but it wasn't just that. It was the Arrowverse. The reason why is because the name Alex Danvers sounded similar, but I couldn't pinpoint it at the time. I also noticed that people still discriminated against people who they couldn't understand even ones who seem just a tad bit special. Even the government is still trying to make Superman seem like the bad guy. They also began to try to find a weakness to exploit. I thought that being in this new world I could change my view of humanity, but I guess that people don't change nor does the government.
The good thing is I know when the story starts, but I wonder how I'm going to integrate it within the story. I know for sure that even if I become a hero there is no point because people will jump at the chance to disgrace them. The first thing I should worry about is to make the Kabuto Zecter and Rider Belt. Maybe I'll mess around with Supergirl and the D.O.A give them a run for their money. I also need to adjust the Clock Up system so that it will last longer than five minutes. I can already run up to 100 miles per hour at level five of my Dragon Tiger Gate cultivation, and if I can get to level ten then I'll be able to get up to Mach 1 maybe. There should also be a body enhancement technique that will push me to even Mach 2. Although, with the Zecter, I could get up to Light Speed with the Clock Up function and if combined I could match the Flash's speed or even more. The only thing is if I don't upgrade the Clock Up function it will only last for five minutes and it takes three minutes to recharge. The Zecter also gives me a boost of strength, which can be added to my strength, and right now I can lift to 300 pounds. It will only get stronger the more my cultivation rises and I got until 2015 when the plot starts.
I start middle school tomorrow and from what I can recall Kara Zor El shows up in the next three months. I've got to step my game up and get my stuff together. The next day I got up early, as usual, helped my dad with the chores, trained in my martial art from my past life, trained my body, and then left for school. I met up with Alex at the front of the school,
"Hey, Johnathan how was your summer?" she asked me.
"It was the same as any summer. I helped my dad with the farm work, and just studied most of the time. What about you anything exciting happen?" I replied.
"Yeah, actually something amazing did happen. My family took another vacation to Japan this summer. I also got to meet my friend I made when I was six over there." She replied smiling.
"Oh, you went again. You never told me you visited Japan before." I said,
"Well, you never asked so I didn't say. Also, isn't your father from there too," she said to me while tilting her head to the side cutely.
"Yes, he is originally from there," I answered. "We should get to class before we are late," I added while walking towards the school and Alex began to chase after me. Once again I paid little attention to class, but only to the important ones that I needed. After school, I began to work on the Kabuto Zectar and the Rider belt system. It took me two months to make a fully operational Zectar, but I spent more time making failures and I passed out a couple of times because of my energy running out. I made my way into the barn so that I could test out my invention, equipping the rider belt onto my waist. It fit perfectly and I powered up the Red Beetle and gave it an energy-gathering power source within its body, so that way it would be able to fly around by its self. I also added an AI into it so it could be my scouting partner and attack enemies without my command.
"Come! Kabuto!" I shouted as I put my hand into the air. It powered on and began to fly around till it came into my hand. I inserted it onto the Rider belt,
"Henshin!" the red beetle shouted as silver armor began to engulf my body. I could feel the power rising and expanding within my body. I found a mirror in the barn and what I saw from it was armor with a red chest piece and black under it. The helmet had a sky blue visor and silver outing. I wanted to test out the Cast Off function, but I didn't want to destroy the barn and cause a ruckus. I deactivated the system and the red beetle flew around for a bit then landed inside my jacket pocket. With the Zecter finished I can focus on my cultivation without any hassle now. That's exactly what I did until one day I saw Alex walking to the school entrance, but there was another girl following closely behind her. The girl had long blonde hair, with blue eyes, but the thing that caught my attention was that she seemed lost or more like new to everything. I walked up to them,
"Hey, Alex who's that behind you?" I asked with a bright smile even though I already have a good guess of who she is.
"Oh, this is my sister Kara." She replied,
"I never knew you had a sister?" I asked.
"Well, she is adopted," she replied.
"Oh, that's neat," I said to Alex then turning towards Kara, "Hello there, I'm Johnathan. It's nice to meet you." I said to her while putting my hand out to shake her hand. Kara just looked at me with a blank face and Alex was blushing due to embarrassment. Alex whispered into Kara's ear telling her how to shake hands from what I believe because after Alex was done explaining to her she shook my hand. Her grip was very strong, but I've been training for years so just sending some energy to my hand I withstood her strength. It shocked Kara because she gave an amusing face of disbelief to which Alex's face was showing too.
"Well, I hope we can become great friends," I said to her before leaving for the class ahead of them. Two months went by and I've gotten along well with the Danvers sisters to the point where Kara was not shy around me anymore. She even greets me first if she has the chance. Alex began to hang out more with her friend Josie than us. One day my parents took me to Swan beach to have some family time and to practice my picture taking with the new camera that my mother bought me. I then noticed the Danvers sisters just a little further down the beach. Kara was intensely bird-watching, while Alex was embarrassed by her actions and tried to keep a certain distance from her. I walked towards them and took a picture of Kara watching the birds. Click, Kara heard the noise and turn to towards me with a surprised expression.
"Hey, Kara whatcha doing?" I asked as I got closer.
"Just looking at those interesting creatures over there." She said while pointing at the seagulls. I chuckled at her response and she began to pout at my reaction. Alex began to make her way towards us after seeing that Kara stopped being embarrassing.
"Are you following us or something Johnathan?" Alex said with a devious smile.
"Well do you blame me? You girls are pretty cute so you tell me." I replied with a wink. That made both girls blush and look away from me. That gave me a chance to take a quick shot of the two sisters. Alex tried to take the camera from me so that she could erase the picture. Then there was a loud screech and we all looked over to see a car losing control on the road. The car then crashed into the side railing and with my enhanced vision, I could see oil leaking out of the car. There was also smoke coming out of the car's hood and before I could say anything Kara sprinted towards the vehicle.
"What is she doing? She can get hurt running towards that." I said to Alex, but she couldn't reply due to the shock of the wreck. I saw Kara grab a mother and a child out of the car with ease. It was surprising seeing a 13-year-old child carrying an adult over her shoulder and a child in one hand. The car then caught on fire and exploded sending parts flying. One of the doors came flying towards Alex, but she was still in shock and couldn't move. I dashed towards her with my full speed arriving in a split second and pushed her out of the way. I sent some Ki towards her to make a protective shield around her body before I pushed Alex so that she wouldn't be injured by the speed. The car door slammed right into me sending me flying and I tumbled a couple of times before landing in the sand. Even though my body has been tempered with the Dragon Tiger Gate cultivation, the impact still caused a few ribs to be fractured and making me cough up some blood. Alex finally snapped out of her trance and saw me lying in the sand with blood and slashes from the metal scraps. She ran towards me with tears in her eyes trying to say some stuff, but I couldn't hear anything due to the ringing in my ears from the explosion.
Kara finally saw what happened after she put down the two people. She also ran towards me with concern in her eyes. My parents didn't see the part with Kara, but they caught what happened after and my mother ran towards me while my father called the police. I was surrounded by my mother, Alex, Sara, and their mother Eliza. The police, firefighters, and paramedics showed up quickly and they began to calm the situation down. As I was getting taken away on a stretcher, I turned towards the Danvers sisters.
"Do you guys see my Camera anywhere? I don't want to lose it." I asked,
"No, but we will look for you. Don't worry about it and just get better." Alex replied to me and Kara nodded. I smiled and gave them a thumbs up. I only spent two weeks in the hospital due to my recovery rate, and I could've left a week ago but they wanted me to stay longer just in case. In two weeks, both of the Danvers sisters visited me and brought me the camera that I lost. Kara seemed to visit me every other day more than Alex, but I didn't mind because it got boring just staring into the white ceilings. The day before I was allowed to leave, Mr. and Mrs. Danvers showed up in my room.
"Hello there, I assume you guys are Kara and Alex's parents," I said to them. They just smiled at me,
"Well aren't you a smart one." Mrs. Danvers said.
"We are here to thank you for saving Alex from the flying debris." Mr. Danvers stated.
"Well, no need to thank me because I would've done it again if I had to. I just hope I don't have to cause it was pretty scary." I said and they just chuckled at my comment. We began to talk about other things, then the atmosphere got tense.
"Johnathan, we are here for something else also." Mrs. Danvers stated,
"Did you see anything abnormal happen that day?" Mr. Danvers asked.
"Well, actually I did see Kara run towards the car, and the next moment she was next to me but unharmed. It seems a little unnatural." I replied. They both looked at each other then at me.
"I have to ask you, Johnathan. Can you keep this a secret?" He asked me with a stern expression. I nodded to answer his question and he smiled at my response.
"I hope this doesn't affect your friendship with Kara and Alex," she said to me.
"Ma'am with all due respect. Something like being a little different will not change my view of them nor of anyone else. To me, I only judge people by how they express themselves and treat the people around them." I said with confidence. They both smiled at my statement and Mrs. Danvers hugged me before leaving. I finally got out of the hospital and asked my parents if we could go eat some sushi cause I've been craving it for days.
