Chapter 23: Flying Thunder God Seal
According to Minato's notes, there were certain levels to the Flying Thunder God.
At Level 1, they could teleport to wherever the marker was.
At level 2, when the marker made contact with an object they would be able to sense it, and teleport there.
And the final level, something he speculated but never reached, was barely recorded here.
It seemed like I needed to get to at least 2,500 points before I could even use level 1.
But the earlier points would be an extremely easy grind considering my buffs and being an intermediate Fuinjutsu Master.
As I was developing the seals to make my own Unique Marker, Naido sensei eventually walked into my compound.
"Shikomu, did you forget we have another mission from today?" He asked as he saw me concentrating on the notes.
"Ah, you're already making your own Marker. That's advanced for someone your age." He complimented.
"Sorry sensei it seems like I got caught up into this."
"It's fine. You know, my twin brother does know how to use the Flying Thunder God, albeit he can only do it with 2 other people." Naido sensei said.
"Wait what?"
Then I remembered that in the anime, the Mizukage did get teleported on the battlefield against Madara.
"Yeah, but their busy on a mission right now. When their free I'll ask him to tutor you."
I nodded and then stood up from where I was studying.
"So what's our mission, sensei."
He then raised his hand and pointed in a certain direction.
I then saw a girl that was familiar to me.
"Ayumi?" I questioned.
"Yes, the Hokage and the hospital has deemed that she seems to be cured of her disease, but will still be kept under monitoring in case she randomly sleeps again."
It seemed like the game was giving her another chance, allowing her to play as long as she didn't go away for too long.
She nodded at me and I did the same.
"We still need to catch her up on the mission count, so we will be working extra hard. I am also in the process of finding us 1 more Gemini for the 3 man squad so give me another week. We have 7 more till the exams anyway."
"Now, why don't you two complete this D rank mission for today, I have other work." He said as he passed me a scroll and left.
Ayumi walked closer to me and sighed.
"Dude, they locked me in a room and didn't let me leave all this time! I felt like I was in a prison since if I didn't log in enough the game warned me that it would terminate my character!l"
I nodded and replied, "I know I have been reading the forums."
"Anyways now I'm back, I've missed a lot." She commented with a smile and then added.
"And you also seem to be the first mysterious guy to get the world chat. Do you have insider information or did you luck out?"
I paused for a bit, thinking about how to react.
"It's mostly lucky guess. I deduced that we needed to play our 'roles' given by the game. Yours is an orphan and mine is a Nara."
"I see. Well, I guess you will have to carry me for a bit. How strong are you now anyway?"
"About ChunIn level, and how about you?" I asked.
"Average Genin, so I guess we are not so far apart."
As she said that I couldn't help but laugh inside my head.
First of all I was well on my way to be a Jounin.
And secondly chakra and physique wasn't what decided power and people would soon get that.
Ninja needed a variety of Jutsu to survive their missions.
If you're a Jounin and a ChunIn Sasuke rammed a Chidori into your chest, you would die for sure.
Some Jutsu give crazy buffs, like the 8-Inner-Gates.
From the Jounin rank, power disparity comes from the massive differences in Jutsu levels and rarity.
But for now, I need Ayumi and my other 3 man to be half decent.
I need them to survive the first round of the exam, and I need to throw some distractions in the miniscule chance Pedomaru comes after me.
Hopefully he has no reason to.
…
"Sensei, just let me spar with him once." Sasuke asked with a serious look on his face.
"No." Kakshi replied as he looked at Sasuke.
This brat was becoming very annoying, how was he supposed to read the latest Make our tactics at this rate?
"Then will you help me Kakshi sensei? Pretty pleaseeeeeeeeeee." Naruto pleaded while being on his knees.
"Sigh."
Kakshi then stood up and turned towards the Hokage statue for a moment.
He should probably start teaching them something other than just the basics.
Especially since they are so motivated right now.
Only Sakura…forget it, she will come around when she sees Sasuke.
"Fine, I have something to teach each of you."
…
"Guy. Are you sure about this?" The 3rd Hokage asked as he saw one of his strongest Shinobi in front of him.
He was currently asking permission for something he had done a year ago.
Something that he was reluctant to allow at the time.
"Yes, he is one of my friends' son. I am ashamed I didn't recognise him before hand and this is my way of apologising." Guy asked.
"Very well, the 8 Gates if your Jutsu, you can teach it to whomever you deem fit."
"I know Lord Hokage, I was simply asking since it is a Forbidden Jutsu of the village. I also wanted to know your opinion."
The Hokage took a puff of smoke and looked outside for a while as he studied the village.
"We have tough times ahead. While it is weird for a Nara, who are usually our strategies, to use a jutsu as physically heavy as the 8 Gates, there is nothing wrong with experimenting."
"Alright Lord Hokage, I will take my leave."
The Hokage looked back and saw the power work and requirement of resources he had just allocated to Danzo's root.
'A necessary evil, almost the already evil world.' He thought to himself.
