Origin.(2)

It was a normal night in the beautiful bustling city of Musutafu. The stars shone brightly as the full moon was starting to reveal itself behind a set of clouds, shining a dark light upon the various alleys of the city.

BOOM!

An explosion appeared out of nowhere as a convenience store was blown to smithereens. Multiple screams filled with terror swept through the area as the people around the explosion stumbled and staggered away for their lives. In this era of society, even more so than an average one, death could find one at any time.

It only took a villain to misuse his quirk once and he could slaughter several people in one go, whether it be directly or indirectly. Given, most normal civilians had their own quirks to defend themselves, but in reality, they were most likely not even properly trained so it almost useless when push came to shove.

This was the reality of hero society in Musutafu, Japan. It was probably the same for the entire world. If anyone believed that this daily misuse of power by any random villain or criminal caused a minimal amount of deaths was insane.

This was what Sinan was able to deduce after about ten minutes of being in this world as a baby.

'Just from the reactions of the people who ran away from the surrounding area, it's clear that they're accustomed to being saved. Almost everyone stopped running away from the villain and turned back to talk about who's going to defeat him. This...is embarrassing, at least on the side of the villains. People barely even take them seriously. Sigh, I'm rambling too much, this is just my assumption of things after several minutes in this world. Maybe some personal experience may change my view on things.'

"Look! Someone save that baby! That damn criminal is trying to use it as a hostage!"

The villain who had caused the explosion was standing in front of the ruins of the convenience store with a luxurious baby basket in hand. His irises/pupils were rolled back into his head, revealing a pair of white scleras in their absence. His mouth was foaming as he trembled viciously on the spot with the flames of his quirk still lingering on his body.

Now that he was in full view of the spectating civilians, they noticed that something was off with this man.

"Is he having a seizure?"

A civilian, judging from his attire, a doctor, asked this question aloud. Certainly, that looked like the case as the man started to lose balance. But, what happened, in reality, was the 'villain' was a normal man. He didn't intend to blow up the store.

This was all Sinan's doing.

'I'm too inexperienced with the force. I tried to control his mind so that he would take me to his home but I ended crushing his sanity instead. An untimely death, but a necessary sacrifice to improve my control. Luckily, I managed to control him just enough so that he could direct the explosion forward instead of behind where I was located. If I didn't have Sith blood within me, the heat alone would've probably finished me off.'

Sinan had managed to control the man enough for him to take him out of the flames but that was the most he could do right now. He was currently using the remains of his pitiful stamina to form a weak barrier around himself that could stop most of the heat from assaulting his frail body.

Of course, this was only possible because he was conceived from the force itself and had an unbelievable amount of force sensitivity. Even so, he couldn't keep this up for much longer.

But as usual, the heroes didn't take long to arrive.

A man with a black bodysuit, wooden belt, wooden knee pads, and wooden shoes jumped down from a building not far away from the destroyed convenience store.

"Who's that?"

"A young hero! Could he be from U.A?"

The civilians went into an uproar as they saw a young teenage hero jump into the fray. Kamui Woods instantly extended multiple thick tree branches towards Sinan's basket, wrapping it up and pulling it towards himself.

After exhaling a breath of relief at the fact that the flames didn't immediately engulf his tree branches, Kamui immediately grabbed the wrapped baby in his free hand, removed the branches around it, and retreated just in case the man exploded once again.

"Everyone, get back!"

He retreated towards the crowd and used his branches to block them off. This situation was strange but he couldn't risk anything happening to the civilians even though flames were his weakness.

Noticing that the man just fell to the ground and stopped moving, Kamui's suspicion grew immensely.

"This attack doesn't feel thought out at all, it just feels random. Could this be a diversion to something bigger? Or maybe..."

His gaze quickly shifted towards the baby in his hands. He turned around to the closest civilian and asked, "Hey, do you know why the criminal had this baby with him?"

The civilian who was staring at Kamui Woods in awe, stuttered as she responded, "T-the m-man brought it out of the fire with him!"

Kamui started thinking about this situation more critically as the ambulance, police, and reporters made it onto the scene. Seeing that the threat was over, Kamui retracted his branches, gave the baby to one of the medics, and ran away from the scene. After all, at this time, he didn't have his hero license and he could be prosecuted by the law for using his quirk.

But, even though he escaped comfortably, his thoughts were still stuck on the curious case of the baby's origins.

'Could his quirk could have manifested so early? This baby doesn't even seem to be a month old! Why was he here in a basket and not with his mother? Could the man have kidnapped the baby? Could it be his? Even if by some miracle this baby survived the explosion and the flames, how did the basket survive the heat? And what was that device laying beside him in the basket?'

He wanted to go back and investigate the situation more but reality triumphed over his emotions.

*Sigh*

"If I go back there I'll just get arrested. Hopefully, the authorities investigate the situation properly..."

As Kamui Woods left the area, Sinan closed his eyes and didn't even worry about what people would think about the situation.

As long as he could find a home, which would likely be an orphanage at this point, he would be fine.

Seeing that the medics would take care of him, Sinan just closed his eyes and started meditating as that was the only thing he could do at this point. Although he didn't have the ideal beginning, Sinan was finally able to divert his focus from protecting himself with a barrier.

'This is the beginning of my journey...'
