Damien also felt his heart clenching when he saw Joyce breaking down into tears.

Until now, Damien hadn't seen his mother shedding tears for her late daughter. She had only mentioned about Mackenzie in the passing. So Damien hadn't really felt any kind of pain or loss towards his half-sister, that was until now.

Upon seeing Joyce crying her eyes out for someone whom she had never met or heard about, Damien was saddened by Mackenzie's death for the first time in his life.

"Joy…" he dragged his chair closer to Joyce. He wiped her tears and consolingly said, "Joy… please don't cry. It happened a long time ago. I won't say that my mom and King Lucifer have already forgotten about Mackenzie, but I guess her death doesn't hurt as much as it did back then."

Joyce covered her face with both of her palms and then whispered, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to ruin the mood. I don't know why I am crying like this."
