All of this science talk was making Roman's head hurt. "If it was a freak accident and the multiverse likes righting itself, why did she die so soon after being sent back?"

Percy frowned. "The multiverse can't right things on its own. It isn't as if it has sentience. My other self and I managed to communicate through the spatial disturbance using Morse code to figure out what happened and undo it by making the conditions the same as they were when the switch happened. Human involvement was necessary. 

"Perhaps I was able to create my time machine because the multiverse wanted me to set this freak accident right. I honestly don't know, nor do I care. I'm here, it worked, and I'm on track to fix things."

Roman didn't have a rebuttal to that. It didn't really matter anyway. What did was getting that referral to Mr. Logan in time so he didn't die and that unique set of conditions couldn't be met this time.
