Silence ensued after Chess made that answer.
In all honesty, Chess indeed couldn't remember Evangel. However, sometimes, something's telling him that he did once know that mad person. He just couldn't pinpoint exactly when and how.
And just being his usual self, Chess refused to reveal something that is unsure.
"I've answered you properly. Now, send Hans back." He said.
Evangel only pressed his lips together on the other side. Hans, who's desperately keeping himself unnoticeable, flinched after receiving Evangel's stare.
His eyes held not an ounce of emotion before his lips curved to an ominous grin.
"Come and get him, then. I'll send you the way."
After that, Evangel wordlessly ended the call and pocketed his phone before turning around and prepared to leave. Hans was fast to react, reaching his hand out towards Evangel's arm to stop him from going.
But the moment Evangel turned to look at him, he was also quick to let go.
