Rosa was sitting inside the carriage; there were boxes on the side. Dismissing the rider from the carriage, she settled inside, leaning on the boxes. It is a perfect place to hide from multiple questions out of curiosity. What happened inside dampened her mood. If she had wanted, she could have easily demanded punishment for the family, especially the daughter. Their lives could have been taken with one swing of the blade. Yet no one would oppose in that room.

“I would have been so easy to remove the whole family from the land of the living.” She murmured, but there was no way she could make herself walk toward that style of judgment.

Rosa released a breath she was holding in as she hid behind the boxes.

“There you are.” A sudden voice made her jump.

Rosa leaned forward to check but groaned as soon as she saw the face. Tom arched his brows as he watched her reaction.

“I did not think I was that ugly to look at. With that expression,” he made a face rubbing his chin.
