This time there was no horse ride rather than a carriage ride to the gambling house. They decided to meet there to avoid any eyes watching them. Eugene and Rosa sat on the opposite side of the slow-riding wooden carriage. This one was a lift-up in status for Rosa. She only rode in commoners good transporting carriages. This time she was riding a passenger carriage with high ended seats. She folded her arms and sat comfortably inside the carriage. The windows were closed and the curtains were drawn to avoid prying eyes. Rosa closed her eyes leaning back, trying to think of any early memory of carriage rides. None came to her mind.

She sighed in disappointment, “You think the master of that house leaked our information to the black knights?”

“There is that thought. There are also other reasons. The black knights have numbers. They might have seen you or Oslo tailing him.” Eugene peeked into the window.
