"*Cough* *Cough* Opal, you will be staying in the alchemy department. The department is under my jurisdiction but you will spend most of your time with Johnny given the nature of your cultivation techniques. Natalie, you will be working with Angela and Henry. You will help improve our business strategies and so on and learn about how the kingdom works. If you need any thing, ask one of them two, we have stuff to do." Lucius spoke briskly as he stood up and left as soon as he was done.
It was Opal's turn to be slack jawed as she watch Lucius leave, followed by Delilah right after. She looked to Johnny, as the only one left, seeing a face filled with helplessness. He shook his head and stood up before gesturing for the girls to follow him.
After watching my cousins and siblings fight over the dumbest of shit, I realised that I need to add some pointless fights into the characters' lives since they are only in their teens. You may think its a waste of time and counts as filler but I think its good to build characters that I actually like instead of just adding a swarm of story plotlines and an insane rate of progression as I see in most novels nowadays. I mean some times it just doesn't make sense what some authors are thinking when they decide story directions so I want my story to be more interesting than the standard cultivation mangas where the mc makes enemies as if he were picking leaves off a tree and then kills them and then their older brother then their father, grand-father, great-grandfather and ancestors and so on. I'm sure some of you know which novels I'm talking about. Anyway, I'll be using the next few chapters to show the strength of the trio and others while also showing whats new with the Garden since ive been neglecting it lately with the war stuff. The war will be after that!
Also, if you've actually read this to the end, if you comment some names, I'll add them into the story as upcoming characters. You can also specify if you want them to be villains or good people. I'm really fucking bad at naming people. It's made me think that I might just let my future wife decide the names when I have kids.
