The muscle bound raider steps in front of us, and puffs a breath of gas from the contraption on his face. His eyes, level each and everyone of us in piercing glare as he lets out another one of those puffs, the white gas dissipates, flooding out the open door and into the barren, broken lands of a burning Nation.

"Five women, four kids and five worker men. Fourteen total, excluding the driver." His voice is garbled by the huffs and puffs of breathing through those masks but the menace within it is clear to hear, "File out, behave and maybe we'll give you the masks we brought along."
