This isn't a new discovering but staring up at his back, his shoulders trembling as he cackles at his own wickedness, I don't believe there's any redemption for him. Not one bit.

Scrambling to my feet, gripping wads of sand in my fists, needing something to press my rage against until he spills the entire truth of what he's done to me. Why for so long I never even blinked at the thought of standing close to him, why Neil and T.V, high ranked members in his cabal of murders would be the people I recognized the most as 'family' in the slightest meaning of the word.

The seething within me isn't all directed at him though, no, quite a bit of it is at myself because I can't believe I ever felt that way towards them. I can't believe it took Vertigo trying to kill me to finally run away from all the abuse, from all the maltreatment.
