~~~(POV: Durado)~~~
Scott has done me a major favor in unlocking a path that leads to where I need to be.
The group that's following me is anxious. "Who the hell was that, Durado? Teller-Bravo has been completely shut out of everything, and your travel buddy just happens to get access to secure lines installed by Teller-Bravo. The same ones have been taken over by the structure." The leader of the group decides to start asking some questions, and that's fine.
It's not like I'm going to answer any of them. He can speculate all he wants. I have my own things to worry about.
How Scott got access to everything isn't one of them. I ignore the question and turn towards the path of doors that has just opened up. The pathways give off an eerie feeling. The silence and look for the Primordium designs give this place a hollow feeling.
The legacy that The Primordium left behind leaves something in everyone who knows about them. It's a feeling of being compared to an ant. It's not a feeling that I really like, and I have it too. I'm not an exception when it comes to this. There isn't anything in the Universe that truly scares me.
The Primordium is the only thing I'd say that comes close actually to frighten me. I'm wary of the things they've left behind.
This entire planet is a prime example. "Durado! Where are we going!?" I'm getting really tired of this guy. I spin around and draw my blaster faster than anyone can react.
I point it at his nose, and the entire group freezes. "Now... Hold on... Let's not do anything rash..." Talk about a hypocrite. I slowly look at the others behind them, and they have their hands on their weapons but have yet to draw. They're the ones being smart right now.
I pull the trigger and blast a hole through the man's face and out the back of his head. I watch his crew flinch and use all their will to stop from drawing their weapons. "No more questions, no more deals. I'm not dealing with this shit. Either follow me or don't. I'm sure there are other ways off this world." I can see them physically gulp out of fear, and but they're smarter than their leader.
They take my words seriously and remove their hands from their weapons. "Everyone walk in front of me." I don't want to have my back to them now that their leader is gone.
It's obvious they don't like it, but it's either this or more dangerous alternatives. They start to walk the hallway that Scott accessed for me. I stand behind them and keep my blaster drawn. "You didn't have to kill him... I know he was a real son of a bitch, but he was just scared..." One of the members of the group starts to speak up.
Many of them probably feel bad. They've known each other for a pretty long time. Served for Teller-Bravo and been on many dangerous missions. Watching their leader die like that isn't going to be forgotten.
Hence why they're all in front of me. "No talking, and this isn't a debate. If any of you prove to be a problem or nuisance. I'll drop you with a hole in your skull just like your ex-leader." I don't give a shit about them or their dead leader.
Don't even know their names, and I don't intend on finding out. "Here's some advice for you, kids. Working for a company like Teller-Bravo is only going to get you in a bad situation. It may be good at first but at some point. Shit like this happens." They're younger than I am, so I'm going to call them kids.
I'm here for something far more important to me than a group of ex-military black ops operatives working for Teller-Bravo. I'll kill them all myself or use them for bait or shields if I have to.
They better be praying that something like that doesn't happen. If we run into trouble on the way to wherever Scott is sending us, they're the ones that are going to die first. I'm not going to die on this fucking planet. I'm here to find out more about my baby girl.
