~~~(POV: Durado)~~~
I take a plate of food, knowing that it's going to be a while, and I might as well enjoy the food. I look at Cowl, and I see that he's only watching me.
His hologram staying silent as I prepare my food. "Tell me what you already know about Teller-Bravo's involvement with Heroor, and I'll start from the end of what you already know." I take a bite of food and slowly chew and swallow it.
I have no choice other than to do it his way. That's one of the things when working with Cowl. It's his way or the highway. That is why he has such exclusive customers.
I take a drink and swallow the refreshing clean water. "I captured a target by the name of Ziller Maxx. I wasn't actually after him for his bounty. He was there and in charge when my daughter was taken from Heroor. I thought that he was just some space-traveling psycho doing whatever he wanted. He turned out to be more than just a space pirate in his time on Heroor. He was helping and doing Teller-Bravo's dirty work." Cowl stays still and absorbs the information as it comes out. Figuring out how much I know as I continue.
I take another breath and clench my body ever so slightly. "Turns out the reason why Teller-Bravo was so interested in Heroor is that the world was originally Terraformed by The Primordium. They used a bunch of shell companies to send colonists there. My daughter was a part of the colonists. They didn't know what was really going on. They didn't even know Teller-Bravo was on the world. Ziller said that it was to keep the appearance of an uninteresting world." Ziller has given me lots of information, but it's not enough to put the whole picture together.
I watch Cowl's hologram shift, and he sits down, knowing that it's going to be a while before I'm done explaining. "After Teller-Bravo was done on Heroor, they abducted the colonists and blamed everything that happened on Ziller. After doing whatever they were doing, they sterilized the planet and took the colonists for experimentation. That's what Ziller said anyway. He also said that they did find valuable information, but it's encrypted. Impossible to break, Ziller told me some of the scientists thought it's a warning." That's everything I know.
Everything that Ziller has told me is important but also missing many vital pieces to complete the picture. Cowl takes my silence as the end of my stories. "You know more than I thought you would. Who would've thought that a creature like Ziller Maxx would know so much? Quite nosy indeed." I watch and wait patiently as he stays quiet. "The farming world of Heroor was indeed terraformed by The Primordium, and while Teller-Bravo was working on the planet, they made many shocking discoveries." I can't help but sit up. This is important to finding my daughter.
He relaxes in his seat and picks up a datapad by him. "While I don't know what they were working on specifically, I know where they went after they were done on Heroor. They went to a system called Gord-Prime at these coordinates." The datapad on the table in front of me lights up, and I pick it up.
I've never heard of a Gord-Prime system. It's in the Impyra galaxy but about 75,000 light-years away. "Teller-Bravo's original purpose for Heroor was indeed only a farming world, but after the discovery of Primordium ruins and tech, they decided to do what every megacorp does." The Primordium is important to a lot of people.
Finding something they left behind can lead to many discoveries and secrets. The history of their people is completely unknown. The only thing everyone really knows is they were the first transatlantic race.
The aliens looked like humans but were smarter than God. "What they found on that world were coordinates, separate from the encrypted information that Ziller mentioned. The coordinates I just gave you lead to the same place that Teller-Bravo is going. The same place they took the colonists." That means my daughter is going to be there!
I stand up immediately and start walking towards the exit. "A warning, Durado. From what I heard, Teller-Bravo's found something in the Gord-Prime system that scares the shit out of them. I don't know if that's where they'll find the answer to the encryption. But whatever there, it's caused Teller-Bravo to halt on their pursuit for the time being. Meaning you have time to catch up. I recommend starting at Heroor. Try finding out what they found out, maybe what they couldn't if you're lucky." I nod my head and make my way out of the apartment.
