~~~(POV: Scott Autumn)~~~
I stay low as I make it into a giant chamber and the blue glow of the malfunctioning hyperdrives illuminate the room. There are some guards here and there. Ones too stupid to know that you don't want to be here. The amount of power needed for quantum splitting a planet is great.
They have the actual bombs, which are the hyperdrives, but they need a power source. My mind works it how and the natural heat of the deep mine is likely supplying energy for the hyperdrives. Once that energy was applied, a natural convection of energy started flowing in the room.
Creating the power source they need for the quantum spit. If Ziller planned all this out himself, I'd consider him a genius. Not one on my level, but one nonetheless. I start moving between covers in the giant chamber, and I can see a control station where all the hyperdrives are likely connected.
If I can get there, I can shut the who thing down. The problem is there are enough guards between where I am now and the control station to cause some trouble. Killing one will alert the rest. All guards can see each other here.
It's not like the surface. There isn't smoke and smog to cover the dead bodies from watchful eyes. However, a distraction will buy me enough time to make it to the control station and disable the hyperdrives permanently.
I look around the chamber, thinking of ways to distract guards, specifically those near the control station. If I can get them all, then that's even better. There isn't much in the chamber, but there are support pillars. I have an idea, one that many would consider as a last resort. However, I can revive.
I can destroy enough of the support pillars to cause a collapse of the tunnel. As the guard rush to leave the chamber. I can make my way to the control station and disable all the hyperdrives before getting crushed myself. Once I am crushed in the collapse, I'll respawn as all players do.
Some respawn station in Newton-2. I pull my blaster out now that I have a plan. I point it at the support pillars, and I start blasting holes in them. They are made out of highly resistant metal, but the temperature is put into them via Little Boy is causing them to falter.
I have to keep my head low because the guards are already shooting at me. The room starts to rumble a little. That's when the blaster fire at me stops, and the guards start making a line towards the exit. Dropping their weapons as they do so.
Rocks are already falling from the ceiling of the chamber, but that is to be expected. Some of them hit hyperdrives, making them rattle and throw out quantum energy. I ignore that since it was accounted for. I make my way up the control station and start working my way through the database and security.
Once I reach the shutdown prompt for the hyperdrives, I hack it and shut them down. All the hyperdrives power down, and the collapsing of the chamber gets worse. I was able to finish faster than I first thought, and I can escape myself.
I jump from the control station's platform and cover my head as rocks fall on my and to my side. I leap through the entryway and into the tunnel as the chamber is fully buried. I stand up and try to wipe the dirt off me, but it's sticking too hard, thanks to the sweat. That went better than I planned.
You can count on people not dying for another person, the guards were too stupid to know that they'd die, but a collapsing tunnel is an obvious death. Ziller must have fed them lies about it being a bomb. I hope Durado had a chance to grab Ziller, either way. Today is a win.
I slowly walk through the tunnels and make my way towards the elevator. It's gone, of course, and I notice some dead guards that I didn't kill. There must've not been enough room on the elevator. They would've been fine. They were idiots. Thinking the collapse would make it all the way here.
