The patter of the raindrops distracted Maria's attention from the rustling sound that came from behind the bushes. The sky poured out its resentment on earth and drenched the dry ground. The soil became muddy.

Maria choked on her cries. She looked up at the sky while hesitantly holding out her palm and felt the cold water drip over her skin. In a daze, Maria had taken a step forward from under the tree, soaking herself under the drizzling rain. Her damp clothes are stuck on her body, outlining the curves inside, making them an almost see-through outfit.

However, this is not her concern. The worst had yet come to torture her.

Maria abruptly clutched her head as her knees wobbly dropped onto the wet grass. Agonized expression marred her ashen face.
