After that revelation from Damon, the both of them respected themselves and went to bed without any bad thoughts. It was as if the warning from Charles had doused every atom of passion they shared earlier.

Well, Nessa had no problem with being celibate since Damon was doing the same. But then, she knew that wouldn't last for long. Sooner or later, she and Damon would definitely do it. And she wanted that before he died.

Although Nessa tried to remain positive that Damon's curse would somehow be broken, she prepared her mind for the unexpected as well.

She couldn't forget the last time Damon lost consciousness, it was hell. She couldn't breathe and there was this stifling feeling as if someone placed a stone on her chest. The experience had been scary. But then, she was training herself to get used to that feeling because it was inevitable - Damon had to be saved or die.
