The whole nation was abuzz with what had happened. There were people on different sides of the whole thing, but what they had in common was their appreciation for Lia. The woman had all the power and had decided to give Alex and his team one more chance. 

The fact that no employees would be sent home, also meant that this time, they had to do things right. The world would be watching and anticipating to see whether Lia would come with her team and fix Garner stats or Alexander would come and make things right. 

They had a limited timeline, and everyone knew it.

As they went home after their chaotic day with the media and Lia, Alex knew there was no point in delaying the involvement of the Russians. He knew that the time had passed for when he would try and plead.
