Shehryaar woke up to stinging searing pain on his chest. He saw Anissa sleeping on her side, her back turned to him. He quickly yet quietly slipped out of bed and retired to the bathroom. With one glance to the mirror, he saw his artwork and smiled, feeling satisfied.

He was immensely pleased. It needed to be done. His only regret was that he couldn't do it earlier. If words failed, then actions would always succeed in conveying the message.

And he hoped with all his heart that she understood: that she was able to comprehend it.

He cleaned the jagged cuts and dressed them up.

His mind went to the night and it's events.
