Chapitre 98: You Are Who I Want

"Then it is fair to say that you are oppressing me, Your Highness."

"Oppressing you?" Briceus looked outraged. 

"Yes indeed for keeping me here against my will. I can never feel comfortable in this place."

"But have you tried to? I know I have scared you in so many ways but not as much as I frighten myself on a daily basis, Elizabeth. I usually should not be this plain but I really just want to protect you by keeping you close."

The expression in Briceus' eyes was one of remorse but Lizzie had her mind already made up. 

"I do not need you to protect me," she stated. 

"Why are you being difficult for no good reason!?" 

He was now slightly annoyed. 

"It is not my intention to be. But this is what I want. I want to be as free as I used to. I want to be able to read as many books as I would want to without having to feel afraid of being caught."
