Titan felt sad that her friend had to leave but his determination gave her strength and faith that they would meet again. So instead of dwelling on It for long, she decided to work extra hard to be able to graduate on time.
Master A was worried about her at first but subsequently felt at ease seeing that Titan forgot about the issue of Zagan. She thought that Titan wasn't really close to Zagan and for that, she was grateful. The fewer people Titan mingled with, the better. Although she wasn't sure why master D sent her to care for Titan, she couldn't neglect her duties as a guardian.
A few years before Titan came to the Academy, Aurora was sent on a mission by master D to prepare for the coming of Titan. Aurora was not happy with the mission because she had to leave master D's side to care for a mere nine years old girl. That was like a massive demotion. Nonetheless, she still followed her master's instructions without voicing her complaint.
Although she didn't like her demotion, as the years went by, she grew fond of Titan and was happy her student was hardworking. Seeing that the departure of Zagan did not affect Titan's willingness to work, Aurora grew fonder of her.
Days went by and months passed. Titan, the beautiful young child who walked through the gates a few years back, had become a strong, stunning eighteen years old; she had grown tougher than her masters and was the true definition of an Amazonian.
She only had a few weeks left to finish her work there at the academy and would be going back home soon.
At the final ceremony, she would be asked if she'd like to stay at the academy and become a guardian herself or return home. Of course, she already knew what she wanted and more than any other thing, she wanted to return home.
One night, she laid on her bed and wondered how different things would have become back at home. She remembered her mother was pregnant when she left and also recalled that it was a boy because she gave the prediction. Now she has a brother... Whoa, now she has a sibling. It's a pity she wasn't there when he was born but she was glad that she would be returning soon and would get to meet everyone again. 'Ha! So refreshing.'
Unlike Titan, Zagan was done with his training but he still stayed with master Wen Xu for a while.
On a bright sunny day, Zagan went out for his normal routine, and Wen Xu went to another temple for a long visit, and would probably not be back till the next year.
During his routine, a friend of his, Julius from another academy, dropped by, and together, they completed the routine.
After their routine, Julius invited Zagan to catch up with other people from his academy.
Zagan and Julius met one night when Zagan checked out of the temple. On that night, Julius went out to hunt with some of his friends. They were all werewolves. But unknown to his friends, Julius got injured in the process and was left behind. That was when Zagan saw him. The night was cold and Julius was shivering because his wound was infected with wolfsbane and would not heal fast.
Zagan was startled at first but later, he gathered woods and helped Julius heat up. Julius was a parrot. Even though he was shivering, he kept talking and that was how they became friends.
Back to the present.
"My friends are a little wild but Ezra would also be there so you don't have to worry. We will both keep you company. Please come..." Ezra was introduced to Zagan a long time ago by Julius as his best friend. Ever since Zagan helped Julius, he had always accompanied Zagan when master Wen Xu was not around.
Zagan nodded slightly to indicate that it was fine. Julius never knew why Zagan never spoke but he never asked.
Getting confirmation from Zagan, Julius was delighted and they went off to the academy at once.
The academy was not too far from the temple so they got there in no time. This academy was called the Premier Academy. They were also supposed to take part in the inter-domanial competition but they couldn't go because it was on short notice.
Zagan was a little taken aback by the environment of the school. It was the complete opposite of the temple. Although everything was somewhat in order, one could smell the bloodlust in the air and the rouge arrangement.
Because this was the life Julius was used to, he didn't see anything wrong with the environment but Zagan could tell the difference from the temple.
"Julius! You finally made it." a feminine voice came from behind where they stood.
Zagan and Julius both turned in unison.
"Venus." Julius greeted.
Venus was struck dumb. Who would have thought that she would run into this person after months of their first meeting? She stared at Zagan surprised but Zagan had an expressionless face. Apparently, he had forgotten her.
His hair had grown to his shoulder and he was looking more glamorous than the first time she saw him. How could someone become more handsome in just a few months?
Venus finished her training two months ago and decided to come back home. Her father was the master of this academy. And although he wanted her to train with him in the Premier Academy, she strongly objected and he had to let her go.
Venus stared deeply at Zagan. Why isn't he reacting? Has he forgotten who I am?
In all honesty, Zagan forgot all about her. He didn't even remember her even after she stared at him for almost half a day.
"Umm... Venus?" Julius waved his hands in front of her as if trying to wake her up from a daydream. He knew that his friend was breathtaking and even he would sometimes find himself healing at Zagan so this reaction from Venus wasn't at all a surprise to him.
She didn't bat an eyelid as she spoke in askance as if she had no idea who Zagan was. "Your friend?"
"Yeah... This is Zagan he's a student from the temple due east." Julius responded.
Venus stretched her hand and shook Zagan's hand. "It's nice to meet you... again." when she said this sentence, she whispered the last word so none of them heard what she said.
"Welcome to the Premier Academy. I'm sure you'll get along with the students here," she spoke as she walked past them towards the main entrance.
"Today, we don't have training and we'll be out hunting would you like to hunt with us?" Venus asked meaningfully.
Zagan raised his brow. Hunt? He isn't a vegetarian but that doesn't mean he would eat raw animal meat. Hell no.
Julius was the first to reject. "No! Zagan is not a werewolf."
"Oh, I see. Then what is he?" Venus asked. Although she had her time with Zagan once, she knew nothing about him so it was only logical that she tries to find out now.
Julius thought for a while. 'That's true. What is he?' After a while of racking his brain, he scratched his head causing his hair to become rough.
"Well, I don't know... Maybe he's just good with 'wushu' like his master. But that isn't a problem. All that matters is that he is my friend and we're hanging out together." he finally blurted.
"Hey! You can't blame me...I'm just trying to get to know this friend of yours better. "
Just as they were talking, someone walked up to Venus. "Miss, your father demands your presence immediately."
Venus looked at the messenger indifferently "What for?"
The messenger didn't take note of Zagan's presence and just went straight to the point. "It's about the attack on the Lynx clan."
Immediately he heard this, Zagan's eyes darkened and all that he could hear was 'The attack on the Lynx clan! The attack on the Lynx clan!! The attack on the Lynx clan!!!
Sorry, today's update came late. I was busy all day.
