Kalliope stood frozen in front of Roy and for a moment, the surroundings seemed to quieten down. The suffocating tension came to a halt as Kalliope's focus began to waver. The black mist that had engulfed the hallways seemed to be affected as well upon the change in its master's mood and gradually faded away. Kalliope stood up amidst her confusion and disbelief.

Argan who had been sitting on her lap, immediately landed on the ground. He raised his little cat head and noticed the chaos in his lady's eyes.
