Chapitre 104: His Request

For a second there, Duke Balzac had considered channeling his mana to re-check her condition once again. However, when he thought about how her body would react against mana, he discouraged himself from doing so. If it had been before when he was still doubtful, the duke would have gone with it. But, right now, the evidence had been laid bare before him.

There was nothing wrong with his daughter. It was merely the enemy's trick to corner him into executing his own demise. Fortunately, his daughter had recovered now so he shouldn't do anything rush since her body wouldn't be able to take it.

"Is she really alright now? Will there be any side effects or anything we should be looking out for?" Duke Balzac inquired without turning his head to look at Leonard. His eyes remained trained on his daughter's wan complexion which propelled him into stroking her cheek again.
