When Prince Revaz saw Kalliope's serene expression as she laid asleep upon the bed, he exhaled a sigh of relief. He tired to bend down afterwards, but the pain from his injuries shot to his head immediately, leaving the man groaning in his misery.

Meanwhile, his hand gripped on to the headboard out of reflex as he tried to find his balance. However, the intensity of the pain prevented the man from controlling his strength correctly and thus breaking the headboard into pieces. The wood chips scattered down to the sleeping young lady. It fell on to her forehead, cheeks, and some unto her beautiful hair in a gentle yet prickling sensation.

In that instance, Prince Revaz's body tensed up. Following that, he just froze in place while his eyes stayed on Kalliope's face or to be precise, her closed eyelids. More than the pain, he was afraid that the noise would wake the young lady up.
